What would you do if you won the $5,000 guaranteed coverall in 75 calls?

On December 6th, Bingo Vega will be hosting a $5,000 guaranteed coverall game in 75 calls.  One lucky winner will be able to take away a whopping FIVE GRAND CASH.   Over the weekend, I thought a lot about what I would do if I had an extra 5k in my pocket.  Having $5,000 would help out a lot when it comes to the holiday season; I would restock my bar, double the gifts that Santa will bring the kids, and probably keep a little extra for New Year’s Eve celebrations.

Then I thought about what I would do if I had to spend the $5,000 only on myself.  After much thought, I’ve narrowed it down to buying a new guitar or taking a vacation.

I’ve been playing guitar most of my life and have amassed a decent collection of instruments.  Since I haven’t purchased a guitar in over 5 years,  I’m finding myself quite bored with what I have.  It seems that every time I go into a music store, I’m star struck.  It’s like I’m 8 years old again with a dollar in my pocket, staring at the many rows of candy at the corner store.  I simply want everything.  However, there is one beautiful electric that I’ve wanted for quite some time now; a black Gibson Les Paul.

If I were to ever own this guitar, I would spend every day playing it.  I would polish it and treat it like the legend that it is.  I would share my bed with it, having rock star dreams at night, only to wake up and wish it a good morning.  I would always remember to open my car door for the Les Paul, and my baby and I would only go to the fanciest of restaurants.

On the other hand, a vacation would be nice.  I would either go on a snowboarding trip, or somewhere warm.  It would be perfect to lounge near a pool and enjoy drinks that come with a little umbrella.   I can imagine eating exotic foods (not cranberry sauce), playing a couple rounds of golf, and enjoying amazing sunsets.  Since I’m petrified of the ocean, I could just lounge on the beach and slowly fall asleep; waking up a few hours later only to realize I’m badly sunburned and had my glasses on the whole time.

So what would you do if you won the $5,000 game?  Would you use it “responsibly” and pay bills or help with the holiday expenses?  Or would you blow it all on a new home theatre, down payment for a new car, or to take a vacation?  What would you do if you were holding five grand in cold hard cash in your hand, right now?

Going to Hong Kong in January 2009, the extra money would help. My mum is battling cancer again so I need to be there.

I just recently lost my job at GM and the 5000 would help until my unemployment start. GM laid off over 300 people on October 31 and I was one of those people. That day I really got the trick not the treat. It would help with late bills and I would be able to get a few gifts for my kids. Not looking for any sympathy because there are people worst off then me. Merry Christmas everyone and Happy New Year.

With $5,000 I’d be able to buy a new Mac (my computer of choice) because mine keeps freezing up after I’ve been in a bingovega chat room for awhile. It’s a graphic card issue inherent with iMacs, I’m told. It also freezes after about 5 minutes of playing slots. It is definitely inhibits my playing fun at bingovega!! lol

Then I’d take my family to Blackhawk…the gaming casinos closest to Denver. And a good time would be had by all…as catbustsazz sez…PARTAY!!!!! :-)

and make some food bags for a few elderly nabors having it rough. It would be a wonderful dream come true. Merry Christmas Everyone!!

    Hi Everyone!

Woohoo big bucks! Now remember to be prepared. Keep fresh pants on the back of the chair, have the phone handy to call a total stranger and scream “I WON” into the phone (do not call family or friends, they will hit you up for cash)
have pillows surrounding you on the floor for when you fall out of the chair.

And keep your lucky lampshade hats on ^^^^^^. Not only are you winners, but you are stylish winners too ;) .
Don’t forget to put holes in the suitcase so I can breathe when we go away with all the dough. I prefer Vegas, but Tahoe or the Carribean is fine too. Try not to leave me in unclaimed baggage (again), being stolen by hobos puts a crimp in my vacation.

Good Luck to all and hope you all have a wonderful holiday season!

If i won the 5000 i could pay back the money that my parents gave to me while my husband was off work from a serious injury for almost 3 months. I could never thank them enough for standing by us. I would also donate to the charties that i always do at christmas time, toys for tots, salvation army. I would also
send my parents to a nice warm place for christmas instead of this cold michigan weather.
