Hello Vegans,

It is with great regret and sadness that I make the announcement that our beloved roomie, Marbrow, has passed away Sunday evening.

Mary’s daughter, Karen, shares the news of her passing:

To all of mom’s friends………..Mary passed away last night around 7:30 pm May 2nd.  She died peacefully and without pain at home with family nearby.  She was a wonderful mom to me and my brother and I will miss her always.

Thank you to you all for keeping her company all these years online and in person I know she enjoyed having you in her life.

As we roll out into the spring months and things are getting warmer, we are reminded again that at times we all need people to laugh with us, pray with us, be scared with us, or simply join in on all that our lives have to offer. I would like to ask our community to keep Diane Smith (mollysue1) in your prayers and thoughts. Diane underwent another surgery on the 4th, and is estimated to be in the hospital for 7 days. Please join with me in wishing her a speedy recovery.

My 19 year old daughter is currently waiting on brain surgery. She plays on the site as Mzbossie90. We are now waiting on approval from the neurosurgeon. She needs a special surgeon for the type of surgery she needs. We actually have to travel to another city. She is slowly going down hill. Your prayers helped last time when she needed her other surgery so I am hoping they will help again. Hopefully it will come soon and all will be well. Thank you

SHE WON’T BE ABLE TO PLAY ANYMORE UNTIL THINGS GET SORTED OUT. BUTTERFLY345 GRANDDAUGHTER IS IN THE HOSPITAL WITH PNEUMONIA

It is with a very heavy heart that I post this prayer request for the community.  Last night, relatives of our beloved Chat Manager Beth, were involved in a serious auto accident.  Beth’s cousins suffered serious injury, and are currently in ICU.  We need all the thoughts and prayers that you can give to see her family through this devastating time.

January 25th,

A special prayer request goes out to CM Ruby and her family.  Ruby’s nephew is in the hospital and was in critical condition with a ruptured bowel.  Doctors had given a 50% chance of pulling through.  It is to everyone’s slight relief that he is responding positively to antibiotics.  Please give all your thoughts and prayers as he will be undertaking a surgery today.

Update from Gunnerme:

My mom is doing sooo much better that Hospice has pulled out. The RN says she has never seen someone recover after Hospice takes over in 13 yrs with Hospice. I think its nothing less than a miracle. I thank everyone for the prayers that got my mom better. I am forever grateful.

Please pray for my mom. She has been diagnosed with gliomatosis cerbri, a brain disease. There is nothing they can do for this as it invades the brain cells. She is only 69 and depending on how many lobes are affected, she has less than 12 months to 3 years. We will find out this week.

I know a few of you have asked where Cat is as she has not been in chat in a while. We have finally been able to contact her and she is in need of our thoughts and prayers. CatInTheSack aka Catondarun has recently suffered from a mild heart attack and has had to go through surgery for blockage. She is still in the hosptial recovering and hopes to be back with her bingo buddys soon. She is an amazing player and friend who touches the hearts of everyone she meets and she can really use our comforting thoughts and prayers in her time of need. We hope she has a speedy and pain free recovery. Hurry home Cat we miss you.

A bit of good fantastic news this week.

Our beloved player, luvmy6kids (should it be changed to 7 now? :)) welcomes a brand new addition to her family! It’s my extreme honor to introduce you to her new arrival, Caden Christopher, who entered the world to much fanfare on July 23rd at 11:03 a.m., weighing 7 lbs 1 oz and measuring 20 1/2 inches long! Everyone join us in saying CONGRATULATIONS and all our best to baby and family. Christopher and Mom are both extremely happy and healthy to share this wonderful news with all Vegans!
