It is with a very heavy heart that I post this prayer request for the community.  Last night, relatives of our beloved Chat Manager Beth, were involved in a serious auto accident.  Beth’s cousins suffered serious injury, and are currently in ICU.  We need all the thoughts and prayers that you can give to see her family through this devastating time.

Our thoughts are prayers are with you through this hardship.

January 25th,

A special prayer request goes out to CM Ruby and her family.  Ruby’s nephew is in the hospital and was in critical condition with a ruptured bowel.  Doctors had given a 50% chance of pulling through.  It is to everyone’s slight relief that he is responding positively to antibiotics.  Please give all your thoughts and prayers as he will be undertaking a surgery today.

My mom is doing sooo much better that Hospice has pulled out. The RN says she has never seen someone recover after Hospice takes over in 13 yrs with Hospice. I think its nothing less than a miracle. I thank everyone for the prayers that got my mom better. I am forever grateful.

Please pray for my mom. She has been diagnosed with gliomatosis cerbri, a brain disease. There is nothing they can do for this as it invades the brain cells. She is only 69 and depending on how many lobes are affected, she has less than 12 months to 3 years. We will find out this week.

I know a few of you have asked where Cat is as she has not been in chat in a while. We have finally been able to contact her and she is in need of our thoughts and prayers. CatInTheSack aka Catondarun has recently suffered from a mild heart attack and has had to go through surgery for blockage. She is still in the hosptial recovering and hopes to be back with her bingo buddys soon. She is an amazing player and friend who touches the hearts of everyone she meets and she can really use our comforting thoughts and prayers in her time of need. We hope she has a speedy and pain free recovery. Hurry home Cat we miss you.

A bit of good fantastic news this week.

Our beloved player, luvmy6kids (should it be changed to 7 now? :)) welcomes a brand new addition to her family! It’s my extreme honor to introduce you to her new arrival, Caden Christopher, who entered the world to much fanfare on July 23rd at 11:03 a.m., weighing 7 lbs 1 oz and measuring 20 1/2 inches long! Everyone join us in saying CONGRATULATIONS and all our best to baby and family. Christopher and Mom are both extremely happy and healthy to share this wonderful news with all Vegans!

Future Bingo Vegan of the Month

Hello BingoVegans,

Knowing that there are times in life where we want to share our experiences, be it times of trouble, times of joy and happiness, or times where we just need someone to listen; we’ve created this special section of our blog for Thoughts and Prayers.  In my opinion, this section is long over due, but I hope that we can use it to show just how fantastic and tight-knit the Vega family is.  I know that I have been touched on many occasions by our players requests for prayers and well wishes, heart-warming stories, or simply by seeing the wonderful friendships that we all make through the community.

This first post makes note of two very powerful comments that were first seen on the main Vega Vine blog, and I’ve decided that it was very fitting as a first post to mention them here.

I know this isn’t the best place for this. But I have heard of several of our members who are having a crisis or problem right now. And I was hoping to put this in a prayer blog or something of the sort. When my Mom was very sick, I put her name in this organiztion that crochets angels. It’s all volunteer, and my Mom really loved it. She had it on her bedstand the whole time she was sick, it gave her a lot of comfort. Its called Angels for Hope. and I just thought that there might be members out there that could use some hope as well as prayers.
