Asteroid Room and Improved Bingo Games

asteroid-bingo1Hey BingoVegans, I need your help please…

As you’ve been experiencing, the new and improved Bingo Vega, more than ever is about exciting and big prizes. Over the last few weeks, we’ve made important strides with improving your bingo experience at Vega; just last month, we introduced three key improvements for the Asteroid Room:

  1. Extended Friday & Saturday Asteroid Bingo Room hours from 6pm to 12am to 6pm to 2am EST
  2. Hosted CM along with chat games
  3. Injection of a new min. $1,000 Bingo progressive Asteroid room available on all games

But we’re not done yet … our next focus is to improve the bingo schedule in the Asteroid room by giving you more of the games you love to “play & win” and kick any boring games you don’t like, to the curb :)

Before we go all “samady sam” on the Asteroid bingo schedule, we want to hear from you first:

What type of games would you like to see in the Asteroid room moving forward?

All ideas and suggestions are welcome. Please let me know by leaving your feedback in the comment box below. Thank you and I really appreciate your help.

I do like the 3 part games in asteroids but I don't like the 5000 games and since the asteroid room is usually a 50 cent game I think when its not 50 cent 3 parts they should be all 25 cent 3 parts like the 3.00 12 cards for higher pots not 6,9, and 12 bucks because I think of asteroid as a higher pot room. I assume vega does too because it has the higher starting pjp so thats how I would change it.

  2. 2Joel on May 12, 2009 at 5:17 pm:

Thanks screamb! I agree, our goal is to have asteroid room as the higher pot and pjp room here at Vega. I'm surprised you don't like the $5,000 coveralls with min. $100 payout. Those are really exciting and we tend to get more BingoVegans playing them any other.

Do you like the flat $2 and $3 games with equal cards for all? Based on our analysis, those games do not get BingoVegans jumping with excitement :)

    Keep them coming …

  3. 3screamb on May 12, 2009 at 6:53 pm:

No I dont like the equal card bit and that doesn't really help vega I think a better way to put it Is I think asteroids should have all 3 part games for 25 cents all the time except like on tuesday for 50 cent higher prize games and either come up with high amounts or make them parlay on the 25 cent games the true nature is as people see it go up they tend to purchase more cards.

  4. 4Nascar29 on May 12, 2009 at 7:51 pm:

    Hi Joel,

I really like the 3 part games for $2. Especially if you are low on money, it seems like you have a better chance with them then any other lol. It would be great if the Asteroids room was open for even more hours, like during the afternoon.

  5. 5coconutj1 on May 12, 2009 at 9:35 pm:

Me in general I love the 4 pack games and also I would love to see more 1 line bingo.

  6. 6karen on May 12, 2009 at 9:55 pm:

have the crazy T, big I, big picture frame, letter B letter C

    thank you

  7. 7moncamoncha on May 12, 2009 at 10:26 pm:

I like it when the pots are higher in the three-part games but not the $2.00 block games (I don't like getting $12 for coverall!!!). I also like the $5000 coverall games. I like it alot better now that there is chat. When I first started playing this site I wouldn't go into chat, then one day I went into a room and saw how funny some of the player are, I love to see what they are going to say next!! I would like to see more “letter” games. Over all Vega does a great job. That is what keeps me here!!

Hi I really enjoy playing the flat $2 and $3 games with equal cards and equal chance for all. Sometimes you get to feeling beat down when playing with jp winners or repeated winners and feel outnumbered on cards and chances. THis is perfect at least if i dont win i still know i had same odds as everyone else. coming from an only 2x bingo winner lol. ty

I hope you got my comment as i still get error everytime i try to comment and dont see it posted ty

  10. 10mermaidcutie on May 13, 2009 at 1:35 am:

    Hi Joel

I agree with screamb on a 3 part game with higher pots like you have it in the Milky Way Room where the cost is $3. I don't mind playing 25c or you can even make it 10c. per card. Any improvements you have been making for Bingo Vega has been awesome.

  11. 11luvmy5kids on May 13, 2009 at 3:23 am:

I like the $5000 coveralls and love the 3 and 4 part games that are $0.50 per card and have pots that are $150 and $175. I don't really like the normal 3 part games that run for $6, $9 and $12 and very rarely play them. I like to be able to choose my own cards and with games that are a set price for so many cards and everyone plays the same number of cards you can't choose the cards you want so I don't like those games much. I will play them sometimes and will play them in milky way if it's during a time that I'm playing but don't really like to. Even if you have a set number of cards you play, you should still be able to change some or all of the cards if you don't like what you're given. So, the set price for an equal number of cards games are ones that I won't play unless that were to change.

I do wish that the card price was always $0.50 (or less if there's some sort of special like the buy so many and get so many free specials you see in milky way sometimes). I would definitely love to see more things like that. Maybe certain hours of playing where you buy so many and get so many free or something. It would also be nice if you could somehow incorporate the 1tg special into the game instead of us having to get the game ID and card number and email support with it…at least if it's something that's going to stick around.

And since Asteroid's coverall is $1.00 instead of $0.50 it seems like the 1tg bonus should be more. You get $1.00 for having 1tg in little dipper where you pay $0.05 per card and has a minimum pot of $15, $2.00 for having 1tg in milky way where you pay $0.25 per card and has a minimum pot of $30 and $4.00 for having 1tg in asteroids where you pay $1.00 per card and has a minimum pot of $100. It just seems off since you pay double what you pay in that room normally and 4 times the amount per card than you do in milky way. But either way, it definitely would be nice to not have to get all this information yourself and email support…too many times you're too busy paying attention to the game and forget to even get it. So kind of like the buddy games that give the consolation to someone, if it could be set up somehow like that, that would be a lot easier. I know some sites that do a 1tg bonus on every game but it's determined by how big the pot is or something and split between every person who gets 1tg so sometimes you get say $0.18 and other times you get the entire thing at up to $5.00 or so…I'm not quite sure how the size of the 1tg pot is determined so that's just an example. I'm not sure what others would think about that because it could cause them to get less of a bonus if there were too many people with 1tg but then there could be times when they got more. So I don't know.

I guess the biggest thing for Asteroids that I would like to see is larger pots and wish it were open longer. I know you extended the hours but I wish it opened earlier. I like having a choice of rooms or being able to play in more than 1 room.

Thank you so much for giving us the opportunity to add our suggestions….even if our suggestions don't work, it's nice to be listened to. Thank you!

  12. 12Joel on May 13, 2009 at 5:36 am:

Thank you Nascar29. Yes we'd love to increase the hours of for Asteroid room too. We'll do our best to work towards extended room hours.

  13. 13Joel on May 13, 2009 at 5:37 am:

hiya coconutj1, I'll review those games and see if there's a way we can bring more short patterns to the Asteroid Room. If not, we'll certainly host more in your quickie bingo room. Ty.

  14. 14Joel on May 13, 2009 at 5:38 am:

interesting suggestion Karen. What's significant with those patterns?

  15. 15Joel on May 13, 2009 at 5:39 am:

hello moncamoncha thank you! Glad to hear you're enjoying the $5,000 coveralls with min. $100 games along with the new Hosted Asteroid room. And I agree with you, $12 for coverall is not exciting and you can bet we're on a mission to change that :)

  16. 16Joel on May 13, 2009 at 5:41 am:

hello QQKELLYQQ thank you … I think the fair and square type of bingo games are popular and we'll do our best to incorporate them into the new sessions. The only draw back with the flat $2 and $3 games are that you need a higher number of players to make the pot size exciting. But we've got our thinking caps on and will find a way to keep those games with bigger pots.

  17. 17Joel on May 13, 2009 at 5:43 am:

hello mermaidcutie congrats on your player of the month win and your brand new MacBook.

Thanks to you and the BingoVegans feedback, I've got some good ideas for the 3 part games. I'm sure we can incorporate more of those into the new and improved Asteroid sessions.

  18. 18Joel on May 13, 2009 at 5:47 am:

hiya luvmy5kids wow … excellent feedback. This is fantastic. Tons of good suggestions.

I totally understand and agree with you on the 1TG coveralls. I'll discuss this with the Vega Tech team and software provider to see what options we have available. It sounds like a customization on our bingo software and that could take some time to get developed. But I'll look into this further for you.

With regards your other suggestions, we're committed to increasing the opening hours, pot size and excitement in the Asteroid room. With your suggestion and the suggestions of your fellow BingoVegans I'm certain will be able to give Asteroid room the make-over it deserves. Thank you.

  20. 20riley624 on May 13, 2009 at 8:29 am:

Personally, I like the 3 part, set price games. It gives everyone the same amount of cards and the same chance of winning them. Sometimes funds run low and if you can hit one of the games, you can certainly go to another room and play a game or two. Maybe have those games play certain times of the day, then throw in some .25 cent games, and of course the .50 cent 3 and 4 part games, (which I also like) I'm not too fond of the $5000 CA games, I hardly play them and if I do I only buy a card or 2.Also, whoever metntioned starting the asteroid room earlier in the day would be great. Maybe you can do the set priced games during the early hours, 25 cent games in afternoon, and .50 cent games in the evening. Just a suggestion..Thanks for letting us voice an opinion. Vega Rocks!!!
    Gooooooooooo Rooomiesssssssss!!!!

i also like the 3 part games in both rooms but with the milkyway way you get a better deal for 3 bux therefor more people play those.. the 6 9 and 12 three part games would do well in the nickle room.. and something like what the milkyway has would do better in the asteroids room as it is closer to the price range of cards. have a ggod one :)

  22. 22roziepozie on May 13, 2009 at 10:30 am:

i lover asteroids 2 dollar games they are perfect when u donthave alot of money and fair to everyone…noone has anybetter odds. maybe throw in some of those 50 cent 3 part games that play on tuesdays and thursdays everyday but pleaseee done take away the 2 dollar block cards. And i also agree that it should open up earlier… but overall i think its a good room!

  23. 23VegasHoCat on May 13, 2009 at 11:24 am:

I do like the 3 parter block games for $2.00, I like the fair and square play of them, I do think they should pay more, being as this is suppose to be the high roller room. I myself don't care for the 5,000 coveralls either. With the price of the card being 1.00 each, the consolation should at least be 150.00 in my opinion. On the game in the MW that we play where the cards are 1.00? it is 150.00, so think this one should be too. The .50 3 and 4 parters are fantastic, that is my favorite of all the games in that room!

  24. 24luvmy5kids on May 13, 2009 at 3:27 pm:

I was reading other's comments and see that a lot of people like the $2 set price, set number of cards games. Maybe take say the umbrae room that isn't really used any more and turn that into a “fair 'n square” room for games like that where the cost is lower and the pots are lower but everyone gets the same number of cards so they all have the same chance of winning. The problem with them being in the Asteroids room is that Asteroids is seen as a higher prices room (isn't it labeled the “high rollers” room or something like that?) so it doesn't really make sense for them to be in there but it also doesn't make sense to take away the games that so many love. Just seems like they would be better in a different room and might be nice to have a specific room that was always like that for them.

  25. 25dawn410 on May 13, 2009 at 10:38 pm:

I like alot of the new games. I really like the 3 part games for $2. Also like the 4 pack games too. so many cant remember them all. lol But love alot of them. thanks

  26. 26Joel on May 15, 2009 at 3:51 pm:

Hi dawn410, thanks for your feedback. It does sound like the fair n' square type of bingo games are popular amongst bingovegans and we'll most likely do something fun and exciting for you all. Just not in the Asteroid room.

    For two key reasons:

    1) We want to build up the Asteroid to be the most exciting bingo room in online bingo. In other words the bingo room out of this world : ) and we can only do that by hosting big guaranteed pots and colossal coverall games that you all love to play and win.

    2) With that said, the challenge with the fair and square type of games is you need a lot of players in the game to make the pot size exciting and we're saying 50 or more players. Let's face it, not many of our members would like to pay $2 for the only a chance to win $20.

But given we do our best to always implement your suggestions one way or other, we think you''ll love some of the new ideas we've been brewing up for you all. In the next few days, I'll share with you some of the ideas the Team has been working on based on your suggestions so far.

    Thanks again.

Honk Honk : ) … I think you're on to something with the extended hours. It's a suggestion we like too ..

  28. 28Joel on May 15, 2009 at 4:25 pm:

Hi luvmy5kids, you're absolutely right, the $2 set price “fair n' square” games seem to be popular. As popular as they are, they just don't fit in the Asteroid room but we can certainly host them in special sessions throughout the week.

Bingo patterns are useful in any bingo game. But for online bingo. you can actually improve your chances of making money by using the bonus and playing sytematically using bingo patterns.

  32. 32Jamo on Jun 11, 2009 at 5:52 pm:

Merely a couple of suggestions here. First, can the time between calls be reduced a bit? Everything is auto so no one is dabbing by hand and the time between balls is beyond boring. Its deadly lol. Also, a change in patterns would be nice and some more shorter games as well. Then again, if the time between balls were reduced it might not seem so long. Also, since you have team bingo specials on Mon, Wed and Fri, how about something special each night in say, Milky Way every night at 8. Nothing extravagant, I'll have to put my brain to work on types of games. But mostly I am suggesting lowering the between ball time and adding a few new patterns including some shorter ones like the one lines. Thanks, Jamo

Hi Jamo thanks for your great feedback!

Sounds like we need to spice up your bingo vega games with a bit of excitement of speedy bingo games :) … here's an insider T!P, in July, we'll be revamping the games, patterns and sessions in the milky way and something tells me, as part of the new milky way, we might have a daily speedy bingo session :)

A special every night – this will also be addressed for the Milky Way. However, since we've revamped our specials in Asteroid, Quickie and Fair n' square, there's more goodies every day at BingoVega. I invite you to check out the new and updated bingo schedule page http://www.bingovega.com/bingo-schedule for daily specials.

With the upcoming milky way improvements we'll be introducing some new specials like “a special nightly Top Game of the Night” where it will be a special guaranteed prize, plus we'll be introducing a breakfast special, happy hour and most definitely a late night special too.

With these changes, we'll also switch up the bingo patterns to make your bingo even more exciting in the Milky Way.

I'll keep you and the community posted with more updates as we near July. Ty!
